I'm still reeling from the unforgettable experience of attending Chris Brown's sold-out 11:11 USA Tour concert at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, June 8, 2024. I’ve been wanting to go to a Chris Brown concert for six years! Why haven’t I been? Literal laziness and forgetfulness. I’m so spontaneous with my trips and adventures that planning ahead really slips my mind. Pretty lame, I know. But when I got word on the Thursday before his sold-out show in Chicago on Saturday, I moved heaven and earth to make it happen.

I booked a flight with points and got to Chicago with plenty of time to hang with my sister before heading to the hotel she booked, JW Marriott Chicago, to get ready for the concert. Check out my video review of the Chris Brown concert!

11:11 Chis Brown Tour Review:

A Dream Come True

Chris Brown, is a talented singer, songwriter, and dancer, has been thrilling audiences with his soulful voice, captivating stage presence, and chart-topping hits. Born on May 5, 1989, in Tappahannock, Virginia, Brown began his music career at 15, with his self-titled debut album in 2005. His 8 albums that followed, have solidified his position as a leading figure in R&B and pop music. Brown's highly anticipated 11:11 Tour, supporting his ninth studio album, promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Spoiler Alert!

The 11:11 USA Tour was sold out for both shows at the United Center in Chicago. I was so lucky my sister's initial companion couldn't attend. SCORE! The United Center is an impressive venue, and our seats in section 203 on the club level offered a fantastic view. FYI, for future reference on events held there, club level is a sweet spot.

Upon entry, we were given lighter bracelets that synchronized with everyone in the stadium to his set. Really cool! It added an extra layer of excitement to the performance to see how yours synced up with the sold out stadium. .I wish they continued to work with his music at home, but I already tried and they don’t.

The concert kicked off with an unexpected opener, Ayra Starr, instead of the initial headliner Muni Long. But the real magic began when Chris Brown took the stage, launching into a four-act set themed around the elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth.

Be prepared to dance and stand throughout the show, as Chris Brown's high-energy setlist and talented DJ kept the crowd entertained between acts. That's how you got to hear so much of Brown's music. He has such a huge catalog, and you really realize that when you attend his concert.

Performing now for over 15 years, he never ceases to amaze me. I noticed his homage to Michael Jackson, his entertainment inspiration, was evident in the voiceovers he used before each act. The graphics went hand in hand with his art and clothing line. I’m not gonna lie, he had this bedazzled jean jacket that I’m sure costs a lot, and I was cracking up over it. Sorry, Chris.

Chris Brown's highly anticipated ninth studio album, 11:11, marks a new chapter in Brown's career, showcasing his growth, maturity, and dedication to his craft. The album features a diverse range of tracks, from upbeat bangers to heartfelt ballads, all showcasing Brown's signature soulful voice and captivating storytelling. According to Brown, the album's title, 11:11, holds special significance. In a recent interview, he explained that 11:11 represents a moment of spiritual awakening and enlightenment. "I've always been drawn to the number 11:11," Brown said. "It's a reminder that we're all connected, and that our thoughts and actions have the power to manifest our reality." Brown hopes that his album will inspire fans to tap into their own spiritual journey and find their inner purpose. Musically, 11:11 is a fusion of R&B, pop, and hip-hop, with Brown experimenting with new sounds and collaborations.

My goal this year was to get back to me and do more for myself. It sounds selfish, but if you’ve been following me for a while, you know why. If you're new, long story short, I lost myself last year dealing with a rocky marriage, hostile job, lots of deaths, and other struggles. My mental health was shot! it marked a long-awaited goal finally achieved.

His music has been a constant source of comfort and inspiration. Chris Brown is a favorite for me and my husband, being featured on our wedding video.

His song Don’t Judge Me was a theme for me in dealing with my marriage last year, as well as other songs like No Guidance and Deuces that helped me release anger.

I've made it a mission to attend more concerts outside of festivals, and let me tell you, it's deepened my love and respect for the artists. Rememebr when Wendy Williams would say “ Friend in my head”? There's something about Chris Brown’s journey and growth that makes me feel like a proud cousin.

Huge thanks to Chris Brown for blowing me away! And the United Center hosting and making this all happen. If you're a fan, do not miss the opportunity to see him live – it's an experience you won't regret! I cannot wait to see how he evolves and to be at the next concert too!
