If you’re a Disney enthusiast like me, visiting all the Disney parks around the world is probably a dream. I’ve been fortunate enough to tick a few parks off the list: Paris, US, and now Japan. My latest adventure took me to Tokyo for DisneySea, and all I can say is wow! Let me take you through my experience and share some tips to make the most of your visit.
A Must-Visit for Disney Lovers: DisneySea Review
Price:
One of the first things we all worry about when planning a Disney trip is the cost. I was pleasantly surprised to find that tickets to Tokyo DisneySea were significantly cheaper than their US counterparts. At just $65 each, it felt like Disney was on clearance!
Due to a last-minute trip to Kyoto, I had to repurchase my tickets for another day. But I still ended up spending less than I would for a single day in the US parks. Crazy, right?
The fast passes were a steal, costing about $10-$12 per ride,
I indulged in various viral treats (check out my 4 part series "Everything I Ate at DisneySea") that ranged from $5-$7 each. The food was filling, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The souvenirs I purchased were adorable and affordable, fitting perfectly with the magical theme. Food and souvenirs were also reasonably priced.
Rides and Attractions:
One aspect that stood out at DisneySea was the incredible attention to detail. The smoothness of the voices, sounds, and robotics made every attraction feel incredibly real. The fast passes ensured that I never waited more than 30 minutes. This allowed me to enjoy every ride without the usual long lines.
Hearing my favorite Disney characters with voices reminiscent of my favorite anime was an incredible experience.
Park Vibes:
The atmosphere at DisneySea is wholesome and enchanting. From the Mickey-themed train ride to the park to the effort guests put into dressing up as their favorite characters. Best friends, families, and couples dressed as twins or characters added to the fun and lively atmosphere.
Hearing the line operators speak English occasionally was a nice touch, making navigation easier for international visitors.
My visit also included my first Disney Fireworks show, and it left me speechless.
Tips for an Unforgettable Visit
Download the App: The Tokyo Disney Resort app is a lifesaver. It provides information on food carts, fast passes, wait times, and attractions, helping you plan your day efficiently.
Explore the Details: Take your time to appreciate the meticulous details in the park's design and attractions. It’s these little touches that make DisneySea unique.
Eat and Drink Everything: Make time to sample the various food and drink options available. I regret not sitting down at a few restaurants to fully enjoy the culinary delights.
Weekday Visits: I visited on a weekday and had no problems, even though I arrived late (around noon). This allowed me to enjoy the park without the weekend crowds.
Dress Up: Embrace the fun and come dressed as your favorite character or coordinate outfits with your group. It’s all part of the magical experience.
Plan for the Fireworks Show: Everything shuts down early for the fireworks, so make sure you eat at least two hours before the show starts. The gondola ride also closes early, so plan accordingly.
